Integrative Healthcare Rwanda
A company owned by the Rwanda Union and the General Conference, has taken over the management of Kibagabaga hospital, aiming to upgrade it from a District hospital to a Level II Teaching Hospital for medical students and a regional medical tourism centre.
1. To serve as a regional hub for the development of healthcare services in Rwanda and Eastern Africa, based on Adventist principles and models of care.
2. To attract and affiliate with like-minded domestic and international organizations to bring resources, technologies, and know-how to Rwanda and the East African region
3. To provide for professional governance, leadership, and administration of healthcare institutions in association with ASOME.
4. To support research and training at all levels of healthcare and health education.
President Kagame inaugurates ASOME
Monday 2 September 2019 – President Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame inaugurate the Adventist School of Medicine of East-Central Africa  (ASOME) at the Adventist University of Central Africa (AUCA).
The inaugurated facilities at AUCA Masoro Campus consist of classrooms, laboratories, offices, a guest house for visiting lecturers, student hostels, laboratories, and the student life Center. The ASOME is one of several achievements of the Adventist church.Â

We Provide Various Directions
Maternity service
We are concerned with women’s health, before, during and after the reproductive years. We focus on childbirth, providing pre-natal care and pregnancy support along with post-partum care. At Kibagabaga Hospital, we also focus on the female reproductive system including the diagnosis and treatment of disorders and diseases. Doctors in this specialty provide medical and surgical care to women and have specialist expertise in pregnancy, childbirth, family planning and disorders of the female reproductive system…
Pediatric Services
Patients receiving service are aged from zero to 15 years old male and female work 24 hours to 24 hours. They get prevention, curative, rehabilitative and palliative care for different diseases. It is staffed by certified and registered nurses with experiences in the management of different pediatric diseases and more in pediatric emergency. There is also a permanent physician who does day to day follow up for the patients.
Internal medicine
The internal medicine department at Kibagabaga Hospital specializes in the following areas: nephrology (treatment of kidney diseases, with an always-available dialysis unit), cardiology (treatment of heart diseases, trans-oesophageal echocardiography), dermatology (treatment of skin diseases), oncology (cancer), gastroenterology (treatment of pathologies for the stomach, liver and intestines, endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies), neuro-psychiatry, psychotherapy, pulmonology, and hematology (consultations and lab diagnosis and treatment of variable complex hematology conditions).
Radiology Service
Radiology Service is one of Medical and Allied Health Sciences (MAHS) services and designed for executing general radiography and ultra sound exams and send back results. Service delivered at Kabgayi DH Radiology Service Reception and registration of patients; Explanation of radiologic procedure to the patients; Performing the requested examination; Sending result feedback to physician
Physiotherapy service
Our laboratory allows performing testing for diagnosis and provides information of diseases to caregivers and do supervision of health centers within our catchment area. The laboratory works 24/7 and contains the following services: Reception and Phlebotomy, Mycobacteriology, Microbiology, Immuno-serology and CD4, Parasitology, Biochemistry and Hematology.
